Lønseddel
Your payslip: what each line means
tap a line — the explanation appears
Your lønseddel may look different: the line names are the same, but the order depends on your employer.
Trækprocent and Fradrag
look at this first
Trækprocent is your tax rate; fradrag is the amount that is not taxed. Your employer receives both figures from your skattekort automatically.
If you see 55 % and fradrag 0, your employer has not received your skattekort and the maximum is being withheld. This can be put right.
Every line in turn
- 1Lønperiode
The period this pay covers.
- 2Månedsløn or Timeløn
Your pay before tax: monthly or hourly.
- 3AM-bidrag 8 %
The labour market contribution. It is taken first, before tax, from everyone who works.
- 4ATP-bidrag
A small compulsory pension contribution. Your employer pays most of it.
- 5Trækprocent and Fradrag
Trækprocent is your tax rate; fradrag is the amount that is not taxed. Your employer receives both figures from your skattekort automatically.
- 6A-skat
The income tax for this month. These are the amounts that, added up over the year, later appear in your årsopgørelse.
- 7Feriepenge 12,5 %
Holiday pay. Your employer sets it aside for you, usually in FerieKonto.
- 8Til udbetaling
The take-home amount that will arrive in your NemKonto.
What to do if a number looks wrong
- Trækprocent 55 %, fradrag 0There is no skattekort. Order one on skat.dk — anything withheld in excess will be paid back.
- There is no feriepenge lineOn a monthly salary, holiday is often paid differently — "ferie med løn". Check your contract.
- Til udbetaling is lower than you expectedLook at the pension and personalegoder lines: they are deducted too.
